Just one more day the biggest event of the year in both Houston and Dallas!
Follow us down the rabbit hole, if you dare, as we journey to a wonderland like no other. This is not the the Alice in Wonderland from stories of old.
Tick tock.
In this dream, Alice never wakes up. In this tale, Alice never makes it home. In this story, the hole leads her to Pravada and Aloft Hotel where our twisted journey will take place. The interior of Aloft and Pravada’s whole parking lot will be transformed into a Magical Halloween Wonderland.
Tick tock.
Come marvel at our human, and not so human acrobats and displays. Come ponder the Art Car exhibit. Come to our Mad Hatter Tea Party and take a whirl on the teacup ride.
Tick tock.
Come join us for the main event the annual Halloween Costume Contest. There will be an individual and group ... [read more]

..I wanna get physical! UFC 100 will air worldwide on pay-per-view this Saturday, July 11th, 2009. I remember gro
wing up watching Jean-Claude Van Damme in the movie Bloodsport hoping that one day, it would be a reality. MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) has made such an impact on the fight scene that most of their events are sold out premature. Shoot, it has practically made boxing as a sport obsolete. UFC 100 signifies that MMA is here to stay with a fight card that will not disappoint. The headliners ... [read more]

..but Depeche Mode is coming to Houston for one night only! August 30th at the Woodlands Pavilion to be exact. Dmode is arguably one of the best, if not THE best, band to ever grace the music industry. Their music did not just define different genres of their time, but also of genres in years to come. I suggest you grab some tickets while you can because their events tend to sell out quickly and who knows if and when they will be touring again. ... [read more]

I’m pretty sure you’ve heard of it. You know, that foundation that grants wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions, properly named the Make a Wish Foundation. This blog is just a reference to the organization because well, I like the theory behind it and I can post whatever I want on here. Some people tend to forget how lucky we are. Sure, I don’t have everything I want, but for the most part, I do have everything I need. If you live life believing that there ... [read more]

Let’s start with what the “S” in 3GS stands for. Speed. There is no doubt about what Apple has done for the advancement of the standard cell phone. I, myself, have always been a big fan of the Blackberry phones and their qwerty keyboards. BB OS or Android OS? Qwerty or touchscreen? Everyone has their own opinion, but as of late, I have come to realize that if I were ever stuck on an island, I’d probably want an iPhone instead of a Blackberry. I hope
I can convince you why by the end of this blog. Apple ... [read more]

I am biased. I am from California. I DO love my Lakers. Probably as much as Houston fans love their Rockets. Well, it is what it is right? Lakers vs. Magic. I’ve come to realize, living in numerous cities, that the Lakers are like the Yankees of the MLB. Hated everywhere. I am no sports analyst, but I did predict that LeBron would have trouble with Orlando being he scores the majority of his points in the paint, but now he had to deal with the likes ... [read more]

The plot: Narrated by an (unseen) man in the year 2030 telling his children the story of his 20-something years, this "Friends"-like sitcom actually revolves around a group of five friends in present-day Manhattan.
A friend had recently introduced to a few clips of this CBS based sitcom in which I was a skeptic about. After the sitcom “Friends” had finished it’s reign on having a kung fu grip on comedic sitcoms, I had lost all faith ... [read more]

I know, I know. What the hell is terra cotta right? First off, terra cotta by definition is a clay-based unglazed ceramic. Now, let’s have a short history lesson. Once upon a time, the first emperor of China (Let’s call him Qin Shi Huang) decided that he wanted to construct an army made of terra cotta to help him rule in the afterlife. Oh yeah, an army of 8000+ ceramic soldiers known infamously as the Terra Cotta Warriors. That’s more than the population of certain towns in Texas. You can’t help but ... [read more]

LushedUp had their first Playboy Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday, April 9th at Deco. With several tables booked, cheap beer/drink specials, it was no doubt that many of the patrons had fun. Over 100 eggs were scattered around the club filled with all kinds of goodies, and by the end of night there was only a few that were not yet open. LushedUp also had their very own models dressed as a sexy bunny who interacted with guests and friends during the night. This event was truly a success!
